wouldn't that be "C" and not "EDC"? ;)
point of close-tags in xml is to be absolutely verbose as to what
element is closed where, making it much easier to spot mistakes in
missing/superflous closes.. only for something as limited in usage and
small as a theme, that doesn't give much of a gain..
