Was thinking about center / tile / stretch but I'm not so sure... since it's a .edj - thats already included in the bg. i would say defining your default be AND then being able to see the special bg's for allt he desktosp you have (have a table grid - scrollabr probably with "empty" cells (edjes) for desktops with no bg set (ie they use your default, if one is set) as well as the selection for the default bg on it - and the import button as above, as well as "no default bg" as above (use theme). btw - for the preview i suggest using a "livethumb" object that makes a real live scaled down canvas - either make it zone size (whatever the current zone's size is) as a vitual resolution or choose something fixed (800x600 to keep cpu usage low). it's arbitrary really. i suggest using the zone res as well then the preview looks authentic. the other thing we need is an importer dialog. this is where you can use the fileman smart to browse, select your jpg/png, select from a set of recipies (tiles, scaled, scaled retaining aspect, select some bg clor if the image may not fill the screen, maybe even be able to select an alpha blended watermark image/logo and location etc. etc. etc.) and then this exec's edje_cc with a template .edc generated from codre (for now just have it inlined int he code. for e18 i think we can move this to be a full custom tmeplate system where someone can create a template stuf .edc fo their own that can do custom layouts/layerings (eg always add a shaded dropshadow and watermark logo) etc. etc.) > > -- > Hisham Mardam Bey > MSc (Computer Science) > http://hisham.cc/ > +9613609386 > Codito Ergo Sum (I Code Therefore I Am) > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
