I've just hit the same issue.
Switching to gcc-3.4.5 to compile ecore works ( as in compiles - I've
yet to restart E and see what it does ). I've read that this is not
recommended though ( compiling different parts of your system with
different compilers - particularly different major versions such as
gcc-3 vs gcc-4 ).
I realise I've only got myself to blame for using gcc-4 before it's
ready. I expected this sort of thing. I'm just passing on advice that
you shouldn't switch between compilers like this.
