Im running updated Fedora Core 4 system.
compiler is:

gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20051125 (Red Hat 4.0.2-8)


Was there a resolution during the IRC chat? As of today I still get this error after cvs update. It would seem to me that regressing back to an earlier version of gcc would not be the thing to do for a app that is designed for the next generation desktop environment.
