Modularization is a touchy thing... I was very pro this for evas some months ago, even to the point where I wrote a fairly modular version of it..
I never sent any of it for several reasons -- some are not relevant here, but in general I found quite a few aspects that had to be dealt with as a result.. and I just didn't feel that evas, as a whole, was ready for it. In any case, a modular evas is ultimately desirable, and the current modular work that has been done is very worthwhile :) How to best deal with packaging/dependencies/versions/ etc..? I don't know. But as Michael states, without the buffer engine and the png loader/saver, evas is basically useless for most any lib or app. Maybe have these as an "evas_core_modules" package that is required for the evas package? jose. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
