Yes indeed this was intentional.
Those engine-specific headers exposed structures containing data that
should have been kept internal, and bind the applications to a specific
display system, which we've been trying to abstract.

Now I have to admit that I hadn't heard of exactimage before and thus
wonder why this header is required?
