Ummmm errr... that doesn't help me :( I'm copy & pasting Cyrillic without issue here. German too and more. Jeremy pointed to a patch that removes 'low level ascii chars'. Anything less than a space with the exception of \n is skipped. that's not Cyrillic... so I can't see the issue you are talking about... Is your encoding UTF8?
