Ummmm errr... that doesn't help me :( I'm copy & pasting Cyrillic without issue
here. German too and more. Jeremy pointed to a patch that removes 'low
level ascii chars'. Anything less than a space with the exception of \n is
skipped. that's not Cyrillic...  so I can't see the issue you are talking
about... Is your encoding UTF8? Does the commit that Jeremy mentions cause this
for you? go back in git and revert that patch or just check out the commit id
just before that one)?
