Meson itself (not our build) decides where to put it on install. So either the system meson needs patching, or the pc files need to be moved around the filesystem as a post-install step. I think Marcel has been clear on this in the ticket. We're not controlling the location - nor should be. We just say "generate a pc file". It's implicitly installed in whatever location meson wants to and that is always the right thing to do. There isn't a meson option to determine this location.
