It is likely that it found an index.theme file that doesn't follow the standard, or that I interpreted the standard differently to the person that created one of the icon theme sets on your computer. I'll put in some more defensive checking. It would be helpful if I could see the files that are triggering these crashes. What OS/distro/version is this on? Do you have any third party freedesktop.org icon theme sets installed? I have had one other similar crash report for Gentoo. I have a bunch of unixes installed under QEMU for precisely this sort of compatibility testing. I'll start testing this on them, but it it helps to know ahead of time which are the problematic ones. I have over forty unix distros here, it is really time consuming to test them all.
