There's that "etc, etc..." again. But that long title is necessary in differentiating between multiple windows belonging to the same app. Say you've got several terminals each with vim editing a different file, or a couple of firefox windows each on different pages (tabs I know... its just an example). My thought is... if we do not use the title, and use the App name, I fear the user will loose the ability to differentiate between windows. In many (all?) cases the significant information is either at the beginning of the title or the end (or both).
