First, I'd like to say that I just provided a quick n dirty patch so I could maximize my windows. To properly implement this, there are a few things that need changing.
Remembering relative distance from the borders sounds like a good idea. That would also help for people who have multiple monitors and different resolutions on each monitor. And, as far a graphically setting the size, here's what I was thinking: There'll be a button in the config dialog [Set Maximize Area] or something like that. You click it, and a window pops up with text like: Resize this window and press OK to save maximize settings [OK] [Cancel] And, that way the user can drag the window to the size they want, hit OK and be done. Feel free to make these changes ;) Oh, and, if you are doing that, perhaps change a few variable names too, cause the current names are a little cryptic. --Sthitha Laurent Ghigonis wrote: > I like the idea.
