I've run into similar issues with this one, but thought it might have
been an issue in the configuration. If that's not the case, then I
think looking at alternatives would be a good idea.

Not being able to attach files to a posted bug is a huge issue. It
makes exchanging patches in the bug tracker a nuisance as they all
have to be inlined in the comments. It also prevents follow up
information like screenshots from being posted.
