Hi Dave, For video playback I use emotion with xine backend. As I can see i your log, this backend is installed. So the issue could be an uninstalled codec for xine. Could you test the video that you want to play with emotion_test ? emotion_test -xine /media/500GB/Hunter X Hunter/Hunter X Hunter ITA Dvd 01.avi ? you could test too with gstreamer backend. (change -xine by -gstreamer). If emotion_test can't play this video, it's a codec issue. In the other case, I have no idea. I don't think that the edje error is the problem and the rose rect that you can see confort me in this way.
