calendar is a stupid idea for a gadget for e17. it should not live in a gadcon.
it is just bad design on the calendar authors part to make it what way (see my
other email). battery - that's just a matter of .edj design of the theme :)

calendar should be doing that on its own based on its size. display just
today's date (and pop up a full calendar view on a click) or display more info
based on how big it gets.

see my other email. what you WANT is just to place evas objects in arbitrary
locations. for things like a clock its just a .edj file and nothing more. if it
MUST be a gadcon + gadget then you need a new layout smart object in gadcon
with a different layout policy, and code to put one on the desktop.
