Hey,

I always found that theora is not a very good codec (old technology based on a On2's codec named VP3). I wanted to add a lossless encoding so that the resulting video can be then compressed with the codec you want, with the options you want (mencoder, avidemux, transcode, etc... can do that). For example using x264 with awesome options. That codec is great.

So I added the lossless encoding in enthrall using ffmpeg. Just give .avi as suffix of the video filename. If you give .ogg as suffix, theora will be used. If you use .mp4 (or .mov, they are the same), or mkv or other container, ffmpeg will decide which codec to use (usually, mpeg4-2 codec (xvid or their own mpeg4-2 codec)).

The archive contains the diff and 2 files to add.

No objections to add it in cvs ?

regards

Vincent
