One of the good things about svn revisions being a number for the
whole project is that it is easy to help users with problems, we can
know old old is the whole thing and we can even do snapshot builds
that check for exact number, avoiding users with old libraries and new
binaries (issue a warning).

Checking for versions is a bit tricky, but adding the result of
`svnversion` to about dialogs is something that can help. I used to
add a repo_version.h that is generated automatically on build, it
checks for .svn on current folder and if so calling svnversion, if not
just make it empty.
