GnuTLS would be a good move for us. Leting people build GPL apps on
top of our software and use a lighter lib (around 3MB for openssl and
1MB for Gnutls). I would add that GnuTLS offer a better experience in
cross compiling thanks to the autotools (Yeah, I really said that
:-)).

Checking their documentation, it seems they provide every thing we
need for eet and ecore.
