e_dbus/src/lib/connman is mostly complete, just need to catch with some new connman interfaces recently added. e/src/modules/connman is good enough for my simple use case of connect to wifi and ethernet. It still misses ui for bluetooth (icon), wimax (icon) and 3g (icon + APN config dialog). We recently added the controls dialog, but some editable fields to allow manual configuration of IP addresses are not done (IPv4.Configuration), also missing is custom proxy configuration. Agent (to request passwords when they change on the fly) is also missing, but it was just added to connmand. All in all it is working for our use cases (couple of guys using it now), e17 is the most complete GUI out there, connmand is quite small, lean and fast (at least compared to NetworkManager). Of course we'd like to have more users, with possibly different use cases. More developers are even better, for both efl/e17 side and also for the daemon. If you want to help, please check connman's documentation under their doc/ directory, there are lots of *.txt with well written documentation about their DBus API. The core developers are quite easy going and helpful (at #connman @ freenode, or mail list), but they are strict about coding styles and patches must be clean in order to be accepted (Linux kernel-like). They are changing thing in a good pace, with recent introduction of google-dns plugin, openconnect (vpn) and so on. If things are not still there, they might be in not so far future, but help is always welcome ;-) BR, -- Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri http://profusion.mobi embedded systems -------------------------------------- MSN: [email protected] Skype: gsbarbieri Mobile: +55 (19) 9225-2202 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ enlightenment-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-devel
