you may have noticed some changes. this is a heads up for those that haven't and haven't adapted.
headers for all of "core efl" and then some have moved. they are now inside packagename-majorversion dirs. this allows for us to do future breaks (ie go to evas 2.0 ot edje 3.0 etc.) and even keep multiple versions of the lib installed at the same time for development. as only major version changes will create backwards-incompatibility, only major version is in the dir name. as is the strandard, minor versions of libraries can add new features, so any existing binaries will work perfectly, but new binaries may need a library upgrade to get new features (of course not affecting existing binaries sharing the same lib). same now applies for headers etc. all the -I include flag magic is in the pkgconfig files. if you are packaging efl you need to make sure you are including the new header files. if you did it cleanly before (make and install into a destdir and just include everything in include/* including subdirs, then u'll be fine). so make sure you check this. otherwise no one should be affected who is using pkgconfig and other build tools correctly/cleanly. -- ------------- Codito, ergo sum - "I code, therefore I am" -------------- The Rasterman (Carsten Haitzler) [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?
