I think that if we don't be so strict about line width, we can work-around this. Also, sometimes it's really bad to break lines when you can have a much more readable source code with, let's say 85 chars. Not desirable, right, but it's not the worst thing. Maybe we can just emit warnings about line width, as check-patch from kernel guys does.
