I'm ok with this patch. But in my opinion, this is not the only one gadget, who has need this functionality, but ALL the widgets ... sure except box and table :D. And I think we need do the same things for extra images. With this we can emit a extra signal, set some extra label and icon. And each widget becomes more customizable for each use case.
