Well, I got it figured out now. Man, I hate when Tom is right ;) Anyway, 
the problem was I have 2 versions of svn here (a current one, and the 
one w/ the xcb changes), and apparently I was building edje from the 
older one, but elm from the newer one...sigh :( So yea, turns out it Was 
an old edje.
