Well, I have to say it's a bit frustrating that you guys take the attitude that it's forbidden to add a feature that some guys think is beneficial. True, this feature changes the rules a bit. I don't think it's as harmful to performance as Cedric believes, or difficult to debug, or obfuscates the code. I added the code so you guys can see what I've done, review it, build it, test it, and comment on it. It's not enabled. That is the EFL way. I'm not a fan of threaded programming, and I avoid threads in my own programs, however I don't think forcing non-threaded style on everybody is cool. Recommend against threads, and don't use them -> GOOD Prohibit use, and make sure that nobody can ever use a thread with Ecore -> BAD Nobody in Samsung has pushed me to do this. I have spent a lot of time (>1 year) on main loop issues (integration with glib, recommending best practices for main loops, etc) in Samsung, and based on that I created this patch. thanks, Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Got Input?
