ok the icons in the everything launcher are back after rebuild, but
the \s error is still there, i tested a bit and it seems really to be
related with escape sequences and escaping characters. if you use
\n\s\t and so forth in the exec line the application properties window
strips them away. i can get the properties window to accept what i'm
trying to do with \\s then it leaves the \s ater i hit accept, close
and open again. however editing this again will strip the \s away
again. so every time you edit it will take way the escape characters,
leaving you with no escapes in the end when you escapechars the
backslash in the beginning. it also happens in other textfields under
the application properties btw.
