This is a kinda odd problem I'm trying to sort out.

I'm using elementary running on framebuffer for an embedded app. Built
a linux system based on aboriginal linux, pretty much just enough bare
bones to be able to run elementary (and mc during develpment).

It all works fine, except when I try to boot from an initramfs. Then
it just sits at the console, with nothing happening. To simplify
things, the initramfs is just a copy of the hard drive it normally
boots from. Same problem under QEMU as on real hardware.

Anybody got any clues?
