I verified that the reported undeclared variables are declared in "/usr/include/curl/curl.h" so it must be looking for them someplace else. I will have to dig into the "configure" script and the source code to see if I can figure out where it thinks they are. Too often I have found that this kind of thing is handled in some very obscure and indirect fashion.
