not every translator reads the intl list so many translation could end up
being messed up, which is worst than not being fully translated.
also, if some translations resulting from the merge are marked as good (i.e.
neither untranslated nor fuzzy) it could be hard to find them.
if you could revert the merge it would be the best bet to me, otherwise I'll
send an advice in the intl list hoping for the best :)
