i listen. a lot of the plans are the result of years of people bitching etc.
some things as u say are going to become hard no-option deps. not even a
--disable. patch the src if u are that interested. but that means eet, png,
jpeg for loaders. loaders with no deps will also be always on no option to
disable too. those with deps i am tempted to leave as-is right now - ie
auto-enabled if deps found. making them deps u have to --disable is i think a
bit much. they also are extra ones we can live without (gif, tiff, esvg, edb,
webp). i actually will remove the edb loader - really pointless. so we're down
to 4 loaders that need external deps that we dont provide. i think thats simple
enough.
