Well i was thinking about using gifs recently but i was thinking in the way of html5 and decided that i can produce a better image (because i got more controls in for example jquery) by providing some special workaround for images. so i've created an animated <li> table full of <li><img></li> and just told the script to act as it can - so actually i can even set the particular place and orientation of each image and this works and the resolution of images is good and this is what would be interesting to do with icons and backgrounds. well maybe you wont just use those gifs or videos but this can be an html background?
