Yes, the 1.7 bindings are quite buggy, we are working a lot on the 1.8
version,
that will be much more stable, documented and supported than the "old" 1.7

I'm waiting too for the efl 1.8 release... and sorry, but  I really don't
have the power
to support both versions.

Please be patient, we will have great py bindings for 1.8
