remove/move all *.la files from /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib , (work for me

I am new to this list
I am trying to build ecore-1.7.5. The computer has these:-
--cpu amd64
--OS 64 bit cblfs linux kernel 3.10.6, Xorg-7.7 (latest packages)
I installed the following before-hand
eina-1.7.5
embryo-1.7.5
evas-1.7.5
I am using the following ./configure options:-
--prefix=/usr/local
when I subsequently run make it fails and ends like the following:-

I tried passing options such as XCB_X11_LIB="-L$XORG_PREFIX/lib -lX11" and
XCB_X11_CFLAGS="-ISXORG_PREFIX/include" to the configure script but it
made
no difference
advice would be appreciated
