We have the e18 releases for that. You have been lucky that e from git was building against them for such a long time. We always stated that if you want one part from git you need the other ones from git as well. To prepare E snapshots for efl releases would mean to take e git latest, revert all commits that make use of new features, do extensive testing as nobody else uses this comibnation and than do the snapshot release. In the end that is up to Mike if he wants to do this extra work but I doubt it. I can see that you want a newer E while keeping all the other pieces on somethign released for your distro. Still this pushes a lot more work in our bay.
