I don't know about Prathamesh, but I'll have to do something similar
some day.  For my 3D virtual world projects I'll need to be able to put
videos onto arbitrary in world surfaces.  Multiple streaming videos, on
multiple surfaces (check out Inspiration Island in Second Life), or
both at once.  So I'll have to deal with Emotion directly instead of
just using rage.

If I remember correctly, rage is NOT a simple video player, it plays
videos from a library of media it manages.  Sometimes you just want to
play a video, not have to muck around with a media library.  This is
why I don't use rage, I don't want to have to manage libraries of media,
that's what filing system directories are for.  Mind you, the same
applies to lots of the common media players.
