I'm messing with a similar board,
https://www.olimex.com/wiki/A20-OLinuXino-MICRO with similar
problems.  Though it's a different SOC and GPU.

I had that same problem, getting EFL to compile with GLES.
--enable-egl --with-opengl=es worked for me.

Raspian is a version of Debian if I remember correctly.  I've been
using Debian jessie/testing directly, and it comes with gstreamer 1.
