You are not alone https://phab.enlightenment.org/T1530 Raster and cipp also hit it. I tried my best to reproduce it but failed. With both 2.1.4 and 2.1.5 installed. It looks like a problem in libvlc or maybe changed behaviour they adapted to in vlc but we did not.
