Hey, I resemble that remark.  :-P

Oddly, when I was a young man, I won an award for the brevity of my
posts on a message board dedicated to great writers.  I wrote wicked
one liners.

As a general principle, anything you can do in a higher level language,
you can probably do in C.  After all, most of those high level
languages are written in C.  Perhaps not cleanly, or without just
writing another high level language, but it can do everything.  Mind
you, the same can be said for assembler, but no one (other than old
crazies like me) wants to write in assembler if they can help it.

A client once wanted me to write a USB stack for a microcontroller.  I
could have done it in C, but I did it in assembler, for fun.  B-)
