Hi Andy, I've just pushed some patches in my efl dev branch. Not merging to master right now but will do tomorrow unless I find new issues.
Also I will push some pathes for edi itself (misuse of the main menu api). Hopefully this solves everything. Resizing seems faster but it's still quite slow, so I guess we can still improve a lot there.
