Take a look at the functions available in e16keyedit, and perhaps the scripts at: http://e1x.codewordt.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=209 where someone wrote some scripts to make a borderless, transparent, console that unshades and gains focus when pressing a key and then reshades again on keypress.
