When I enable audio options I get the error message "there was a problem connecting to the sound server (EsounD)" and it's shutdown. I'm running Enlightenment 0.16.6 on top of OpenBSD 3.3 on a plain white p233mmx pc. I've been getting the same error no matter which them I'm running, or user I'm logged in as.

Are you running Esound from your .xinitrc (or .Xclients, or whatever). I would get that message when I didn't start esd myself.

Of course, I'm running on Linux (Redhat 9) so this may not be relevant.
