When I enable audio options I get the error message "there was a problem connecting to the sound server (EsounD)" and it's shutdown. I'm running Enlightenment 0.16.6 on top of OpenBSD 3.3 on a plain white p233mmx pc. I've been getting the same error no matter which them I'm running, or user I'm logged in as.[snip]
Are you running Esound from your .xinitrc (or .Xclients, or whatever). I would get that message when I didn't start esd myself.
Of course, I'm running on Linux (Redhat 9) so this may not be relevant.
