However, they're updated every other week, if not longer sometimes. Just to let you guys know that for me, gentoo is the easiest disrto with which to combine official packages and cvs code from the E cvs, as opposed to mandrake or debian, which are binairy distros and don't like your meddling in their packaging system by installing "un-official" self-compiled programs. Now I know that this statement might start a flaming distro war, but please, don't start one, I have been in many, and also because I've tried both distros I mention above, and that my statement is based on my own personal experience, not necessarily the distro's capabilities. Someone on irc already told me that debian could work like gentoo and compile everything from scratch, but I didn't know that, and honestly, I haven't looked deep enough in the docs that it seemed self-evident, and most people I know use debian as a binairy distro. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
