Make sure firefox is in the PATH, it could be that you only specify the PATH in e.g. .bashrc which is not sourced when you start X. The foolproof solution would be to specify the full path to firefox in the menu, e.g. /usr/bin/firefox. HTH

Thanks for the reply...
Checked if the firefox binary changed its location after i portupgrade things and found that it has not so...
I just changed my menus to point where my firefox binary is "/usr/X11R6/bin/firefox" and everything works now...
I should have thought about it but...and should have not bothered you guys with this simple and self-explanatory problem of mine...
