I use enlightenment for a couple of years and I'm very happy with it, but in the last month I've a problem with the window size of some Programs. For examaple Eclipse. When I use Eclipe and a dialog pop up sometime the size is ok, but the most times x and/or y size is null. And if the dialog is not resizable there is now way to use it. With all other windowmanager I've tried this problem dosen't occur. I'm running e 0.16.7 on suse 9.1. Is it a bug or is it a problem with my settings?
Hi,
It's not a problem with your settings. The problem with Eclipse is real and I can't use Enlightenment while I work with Eclipse.
I have the feeling that there is a combination of bugs. Eclipse does not set dialogue size properly -- a call to pack() method seems to be missing in some dialogues -- and Enlightenment does not remember the size of a window as it should. I tried asking Enlightenment to remember the size and position of each dialogue when they appeared in the correct size (usually happens the first time you open them) but remembered settings are not applied.
I plan to look at Eclipse's code with the intention to file bugs with patches in Eclipse's bugzilla, but this will not happen before Christmas.
Regards,
Rodolfo
