I hope I won't get flamed by the developers for having
done this ;-(:
A lot of people have told me that they wanted both E16 and E17 in
their box. And voil�! I've repackaged E16 (E-0.16.7.2) to install in
/usr/local/share/enlightenment/, and also changed it's name to
e16-0.16.7.2 instead of enlightenment-0.16.7.2, to avoid conflicting
packages. Do a "yum install e16" in the usual repository. (available
for FC2 and FC3 users for the moment). Will push fror FC1packages
later. In your ~/.Xclient-default:
You can load E16 by placing this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
exec /usr/local/share/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and if you want to load E17, then select "enlightenment" in entrance.
If you want to load E16, select "default" in entrance.
I know that all this would be taken care of with 0.16.8. But for now
it's one solution. If anybody has violent objections for this, let me
know and try to work out something else. Since I also want to have
both in my box.
