It happened to me too (with the previous version of the script). Fortunately I caught it while it was still deleting /etc and fortunately the Gentoo Jackass project http://jackass.homelinux.org/ was released that day. It's blazingly fast, and saves me over a day building and rebuilding glibc and gcc.
