OH - you mean not a view OF the current desktop with its window there but a
pager view like the pager module with ALL desktops showing which one is
"selected" ? is that what you mean? ie if you have a 4x2 desktop array and you
switch to desk 2,1 you'd get a popup like:

Where "X is a hilight of some sort indicating that desktop is where you are in
relation to ALL desktops?

that's true - i can see this being useful as part of the pager. i'll think about
that - definitely a good point.
