Thanks for the replies, however I am having a little trouble. I cannot find any reference to enlightenment_remote on my system (Debian Sarge), while e17setroot looks likely to be for DR17, while I am using DR16. What should I do from here? I would not be able to easily change to DR17, as my system does not have an Internet connection --- I can only install small things, or things on my Sarge CDs.
