what if the menu is a window border menu? :) then that border vanishes, then u
either abort the menu or have a detached menu for a border u cant see and cant
rememebr (maybe) the menu is attached to. i dont see that we shoudl do this.
consistency would say we behave like other menus in apps - that is lock the
mouse and keyboard to the menu and that menu only until menuing is over. it's
consistent that way :) it also avoids complications. why on earth you want to
go flipping desktops while menuing is a mystery to me. it ALSO complicates
things - liek menus that are generate dfor the current desktop (windows on it
or such) that all of a sudden are now not valid and need re-generation. it's
nice to lock things in place. makes life a lot simpler for us :)
