I grabbed a whole new cvs download of E17 today and just tried to
compile eet (first on the list of pre-requisites at get-e.org) and I'm
seeing some strange behavior. I run autogen.sh and then configure with
prefix=/usr (where E17 is currently installed) and no errors are seen.
But when I run make, it just loops the following output indefinitely:
=====BEGIN PASTE=====
/bin/sh ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating eet.pc
config.status: creating src/Makefile
config.status: creating src/lib/Makefile
config.status: creating src/bin/Makefile
config.status: creating eet-config
config.status: creating README
config.status: creating eet.spec
config.status: creating eet.oe
config.status: creating eet-native.oe
config.status: creating eet.bb
config.status: creating eetXnative.bb
config.status: creating debian/changelog
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: config.h is unchanged
config.status: executing depfiles commands
config.status: executing default commands
======END PASTE======
Eventually I just ctrl-c and it exits make with "Error 1" and that's it.
At first I thought that maybe I somehow got a broken cvs download
while someone was checking something in, so i wiped it clean and grabbed
it again. But the same exact problem persists.
Any ideas?

David P. Donahue
