easy way...

you have a gnome-theme-manager.eap ? 

open entangle .
click the startup button at the top
scroll till you find gnome-theme-manager
drag it to the start up folder
your done

just make sure that the show-desktop is unchecked in gconfig mananger 

this way it will launch Nautilus with out the desktop

problem is that if yo go in to gnome you wont see your desktop items
