Well, we have heard from a variety of view points on what to do with fullscreen mode, and it looks like we all can't agree on exactly how it should work. Configurable will make us all happy, except maybe the developers who have more work to do. Or they could just do what they want.
In summary (hope I don't miss any) the config options could be - current fullscreen behaviour vs fullscreen == maximised + borderless fullscreen on bottom vs fullscreen on top fullscreen with mouse move thru border to switch desktops vs fullscreen with no mouse move thru border to switch desktops Although I am wondering why locking the user to the current fullscreen app is considered a good thing. If that app locks up or freezes, you are screwed. This actually happens to me a lot with the current version of firefox, but at least I can switch to some other app, maybe even to a terminal to kill firefox. -- Stuff I have no control over could be added after this line.
